The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition of Ali Khan Mahmoodabad, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science at Ashoka University. Ali Khan has filed a petition against his arrest due to social media posts on the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor.
Senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned the matter before a bench headed by Chief Justice BR Gavai for an early hearing. The Supreme Court said that the matter will be heard on May 20 or 21.
