Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Monday briefed the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs on Operation Sindoor and recent tensions between India and Pakistan. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has told the parliamentary committee that India has given a befitting reply to the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

The terrorist hideouts were destroyed. Vikram Secretary also said that Pakistan was informed about the attack.The parliamentary committee is headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. The committee will focus on the diplomatic, military and regional implications following the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor. The meeting comes in the wake of heightened tensions across the border following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed several lives.

During the meeting, some members of the Parliamentary Committee asked Vikram Misri whether any threat of nuclear attack was given by Pakistan? On this, the Foreign Secretary said that no threat of nuclear attack was given by Pakistan. On 22 April, Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killed 26 innocent civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this, India took action under Operation Sindoor and killed more than 100 terrorists in Pakistan and occupied Kashmir.
