In a statement, 23 countries, including Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, urged Israel not to politicise humanitarian aid meant for starving populations. Islamic countries often raise their voices against Israel, although non-Islamic countries have also been raising their voices against Israeli military operations. But this time, none of the 23 countries that have condemned Israel are Islamic.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to the joint statement by the leaders of Britain, France and Canada.
