The weather suddenly changed in North India including Delhi NCR on Wednesday evening. Storm and rain disrupted life in Delhi-NCR today. Electricity was disrupted in many areas of Delhi. Winds blew at a speed of 79 km per hour in Safdarjung, Delhi. At the same time, there was heavy rain in Ghaziabad and Noida. Apart from this, hailstorm also occurred in West Delhi.
According to the weather department, Delhi-NCR will remain partly cloudy for the next 24 hours. During this time, light rain with strong winds is expected. The change in weather in Delhi-NCR has also affected other states of North India. People in many states including UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana have got some relief from the heat.
The weather department has warned that there will be severe heat in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Punjab for the next several days. Whereas, the heat wave will scorch Rajasthan. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR are likely to have higher than normal temperatures and more hot days will adversely affect life and livelihood.
