The remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League will be played without the Decision Review System (DRS). The technician team that supplied this technology did not return to Pakistan after the league resumed. Most of the people in the technical team are Indian citizens.
Who refused to tour Pakistan after the PSL was resumed from May 17. The PCB postponed the PSL on May 9 due to border tensions between Pakistan and India. According to cricket website Cricinfo, five matches played so far in the PSL, which resumed on May 17, have been played without DRS.
However, no controversy has surfaced in the meantime. At the same time, PCB has not yet said anything publicly about its absence. Now only 2 matches are left. The final is to be played on May 25, while the qualifier is to be played on May 23 i.e. today.
The use of DRS in PSL started in 2017. It was still being used. DRS was being used till PSL was postponed due to increasing tension between India and Pakistan. PCB wanted to organize the remaining matches of its league in Dubai, but the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) refused to host the matches.
