US President Donald Trump has once again threatened iPhone maker Apple. He clearly said that if Apple makes iPhones in any country other than the US, it will have to pay an import duty of 25 percent. Earlier, Trump had said that he had asked Apple Inc.’s Tim Cook to stop building plants in India.
US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social and wrote that I informed Tim Cook of Apple a long time ago that I expect their iPhones sold in the United States to be manufactured in the United States. They should not manufacture iPhones in any other country. Further in his post, he said that if Apple does not do this then Apple will have to pay at least 25% tariff to America.
If Donald Trump takes this decision, then the price of iPhones in America may increase. Apart from this, this decision may have a deep impact on Apple’s profits. Apple has now also joined those companies which are on the target of US President Donald Trump.
