Late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh has announced to participate in the Punjab Assembly elections to be held in 2027 (Punjab Election 2025). Sidhu’s father Balkaur Singh made this announcement while talking to the media after the Save Constitution rally organized by the District Congress on Tuesday. Balkaur Singh said that he has not got justice for his son (Sidhu Moosewala) and he will contest the elections to get justice for his son.
Balkaur Singh accused the Aam Aadmi Party and said that murders are being committed in the state in broad daylight and his son was also murdered in broad daylight, some of the accused of which are still absconding. He said that the law and order situation in the state is getting worse and today there is a need to enhance the Constitution as well.
Let us tell you that Balkaur Singh will contest the election from Mansa assembly seat of Punjab. In the year 2022, Sidhu Moosewala also contested the election from this seat on a Congress ticket. Sidhu Moosewala had joined the Congress party in the last assembly elections in Punjab. At that time Navjot Singh Sidhu was the chief of Punjab Congress. However, Sidhu Moosewala lost the election to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Vijay Singla.
