Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has made it to the IPL final after 9 years. The team defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets in Qualifier-1 on Thursday. Opener Phil Salt scored a fifty. Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma took 3-3 wickets. Suyash was the Player of the Match.
Bengaluru chose to bowl on Thursday at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in New Chandigarh. Punjab Kings could score only 101 runs in 14.1 overs. Marcus Stoinis scored 26 runs. Yash Dayal got 2 wickets. RCB achieved the target in 10 overs with the loss of only 2 wickets. Captain Rajat Patidar hit a six to take the team to the finals.
Bangalore made it to the IPL final for the fourth time. The team last played the title match in 2016, but finished runner-up. RCB will now play the final in Ahmedabad on June 3. Punjab Kings will face the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier-2 on June 1. The Eliminator will be played between Mumbai and Gujarat on Friday.
