In the second major action in the last 24 hours, Jab police has arrested another Pakistani spy. The accused is a YouTuber. Giving information on the incident, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) has arrested Jasbir Singh, a resident of Mahalan village in Rupnagar from Mohali.
Jasbir Singh runs a channel named ‘Jaan Mahal’ on YouTube. His connection with PIO Shakir alias Jatt Randhawa has come to light. The accused is part of a terror-supported espionage network. He had also maintained contact with YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested on charges of espionage from Haryana, and Pakistani national and Pak High Commission official Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish.
According to information received from police sources, the name of accused Jasbir came up during interrogation of Jyoti Malhotra who was arrested from Hisar in Haryana recently. This accused was associated with Jyoti Malhotra. They have talked to each other many times.
At the same time, it is being said that through Jyoti Malhotra, accused Jasbir came in contact with expelled Pak High Commission officer Ehsan ur Rahim alias Danish. In the initial investigation, the police have found some objectionable photos and videos from the accused’s mobile. Also, numbers of some people from the Pakistani intelligence agency have also been found in his phone. He had saved these numbers under different names.
