The case of the couple from Indore, Madhya Pradesh going missing in Meghalaya is now gaining momentum. After finding the dead body of Raja Raghuvanshi, the police has now intensified the search for Sonam Raghuvanshi. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav has demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
Mohan Yadav wrote on the social media site X, ‘Madhya Pradesh stands with Sonam Raghuvanshi’s family in this hour of crisis. I have discussed this matter with the Chief Minister of Meghalaya. Senior police officers of Madhya Pradesh are in constant touch with the officials of Meghalaya.’
Mohan Yadav further wrote, ‘I have requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to order a CBI inquiry in this case. Every possible effort is being made for the safe return of Sonam Raghuvanshi.’ Let us tell you that Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvanshi, residents of Indore, got married a few months ago. The couple had planned to celebrate their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Both husband and wife went missing a few days after going to Shillong.
After this, the family contacted Shillong police. After a lot of searching, Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was recovered. But there is no trace of Sonam Raghuvanshi till now. The family has also accused the police of negligence. Earlier, Raja’s brothers Vipin and Sachin had said that the SIT was also being negligent in the investigation. Why did the SIT not collect PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) data from the place where Raja’s last location was found? Sonam’s brother Govind was also said to be in danger.
