ENTERTAINMENTThis series changed Wamiqa Gabbi's fortunes overnight

Wamiqa Gabbi needs no introduction today. After Punjabi cinema, she has made a strong hold in Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films. But she has worked hard to reach here. Vamika Gabbi had a tough journey due to not having a film background. She was only 13 years old when she got the chance to play Kareena Kapoor’s cousin in Imtiaz Ali’s film Jab We Met.

Vamika Gabbi also did small roles in Mausam and Bittu Boss. She got her first lead role in the film Sixteen in which her role was highly appreciated. When she did not get much recognition in Bollywood, she turned towards Punjabi cinema and worked in her first film Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 with Amrinder Gill and Honey Singh and with the success of this film the way was opened for Gabbi.

Gradually, after establishing herself in Punjabi cinema, Vamika worked in Malayalam and Telugu films. She did lead as well as minor roles. She received a lot of praise, but did not get the stardom she deserved. In an interview, Vamika herself revealed that in 2019 she had also decided to quit acting.

Vamika Gabbi once again shone in Bollywood after 83. She worked in Hindi series-films like Jubilee, Mai Aur Fursat, Modern Love Mumbai, Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley and Khufiya. She got the most popularity in the series Khufiya starring Tabu and Ali Fazal. Now, rising above the web series, Vamika is shining on the big screen. After doing Atlee Kumar’s film Baby John, she recently appeared in Dinesh Vijan’s film Bhool Chuk Maaf. She has once again proved herself by playing the role of Titli in the film.
