Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has launched a scathing attack on Pakistan. He criticized Pakistan’s attitude towards Dr. Shakeel Afridi. Shakeel Ahmed had helped America in finding and killing Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden.
Congress leader Tharoor said this in response to the post of US MP Brad Sherman, in which he had demanded Pakistan to release Dr. Afridi. “I asked the Pakistani delegation to urge their government to release Dr. Shakil Afridi, who is in prison for helping capture Osama bin Laden. Dr. Afridi’s release would be an important step towards justice for the 9/11 victims,” Sherman wrote on the social media platform X.
Let us tell you that when the Indian delegation was in Washington, America, at that time Sherman was showing the mirror to the Pakistani delegation in Washington itself. Shashi Tharoor reacted to the statement of US Congressman Sherman. He wrote on Twitter, “This statement by Congressman Brad Sherman is welcome. This reminds us that Pakistan is a country where not only terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden was given shelter (that too in a safe hideout near an army camp)
