Many people lost their lives in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. There were a total of 242 people on board the flight including the cabin crew, out of which 241 people died. Only the person who was sitting on seat 11A of the plane survived in this unfortunate accident.
It is worth noting that 27 years ago, a similar plane crash happened in Thailand, in which the survivor was also sitting on seat 11A. According to the UK news website Mirror, this person was Thailand’s actor and singer James Ruangsak Loychusak. Loychusak took off on Thai Airways flight TG261 in 1998. This flight was coming from Bangkok and was about to land in Surat Thani city of South Thailand. But during landing, the flight stopped in the air and then crashed.
There were 146 people on board the plane, out of which 101 people died. Loychusak was also among those who survived. Loychusak was sitting on seat 11A of the plane. When the story of the man who survived the Ahmedabad plane crash made headlines in the media, Loychusak also came to know about it. He posted about this on his Facebook account and gave information. Let us tell you that British-Indian citizen Vishwas Kumar Ramesh survived the Ahmedabad plane crash. Vishwas Kumar Ramesh was also sitting on seat 11A of the plane and like Loychusak, he walked out of the accident on his own.
Although this is just a coincidence, there is a lot of difference in the circumstances of both the accidents. The Thai Airways flight was an Airbus A310, while the Air India flight AI-171 was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. There is a lot of difference in the position, design and layout of the 11A seat in both of them. Loychusak said that after the accident, he had trouble traveling by flight for the next 10 years. He said that I always used to look towards the window and if someone closed it, I would get scared. Loychusak said that I still remember the sound, smell and taste of swamp water at that time.
