A bridge over the Indrayani River collapsed in Pune on Sunday. Many tourists are feared to have drowned due to the collapse of the bridge. The incident took place in Kundamala, a popular tourist destination (Pune News). Where a large number of tourists come during monsoon. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that 4 people died, 32 injured, six were rescued while some people were swept away due to the collapse of the bridge on the Indrayani river.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and enquired about the ongoing rescue operations following the collapse of a bridge over the Indrayani river in Kundamala. PM Modi was briefed on the ongoing efforts to help the affected people.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed deep grief over the collapse of the bridge over the Indrayani river. The CM posted on Twitter that he was deeply saddened to hear the news of the collapse of the bridge over the Indrayani river in Indori near Talegaon in Pune district.
