A sensational incident came to light in the Kharkhoda area of Sonepat district of Haryana, when the body of a young girl was found floating in the Reliance canal passing through Khanda village. When the police took out the body, deep marks of a sharp weapon were found on the neck.Investigation revealed that the deceased was identified as Sheetal, a resident of village Khalila Mazra in Panipat district, who was working as a model in the Haryanvi music industry.
In view of the seriousness of the matter, Sonipat and Panipat police have jointly started investigation. According to the information, Sheetal was recently living with her sister Neha in Satkartan Colony of Panipat. On Sunday (15 June) her sister had lodged a missing report at the Old Industrial Area police station. When the body was found on Monday (June 16), the police contacted the family and the body was identified.
Initial investigation has revealed that he was murdered by slitting his throat. The police has taken the body into custody and sent it to the civil hospital for postmortem and has started investigating from many angles to know the reason behind the murder. Confirming the case, ACP Ajit Singh said that the canal from where the body was found falls under Kharkhoda police station area. The girl has been identified as Sheetal, a resident of Panipat, whose missing complaint was already lodged.
He said that the body has been sent to the Civil Hospital for postmortem and the reason for the murder is being investigated. Initially, the case may be related to love affairs or professional rivalry, but the police have not yet reached any conclusion.
