More than 250 people lost their lives in the plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12. Before take-off, 1.25 lakh liters of fuel was filled in the plane, which exploded at the time of the crash and everything was burnt to ashes. Although air travel is considered to be the safest mode of transport, questions about its safety keep arising every day.
Now Tatarenko Vladimir Nikolayevich, an aerospace engineer from Ukraine, has designed a plane in which the passenger cabin can be separated from the plane in case of an emergency and people’s lives will be saved. Tatarenko prepared this design after working hard for more than 3 years. It was presented to the public in 2016. He has designed a concept aircraft in which the passenger cabin is detachable.
According to this, if any emergency occurs in the plane during take-off, flight or landing, the passenger cabin will be separated. This passenger cabin will have a parachute attached to it, which will open automatically and the passenger cabin will slowly start descending. If this cabin falls into water, the inflatable tubes attached to it will help it to stay afloat.
Special arrangements will also be made in the plane for the passenger’s luggage. Ukrainian inventor and aerospace engineer Tatarenko Vladimir Nikolaevich argues that human error cannot be controlled, but it can be prepared for. This cabin will be made of Kevlar and carbon fiber, which will be light but also very strong.
Now this design has sparked a new debate whether such a system should be installed in airplanes or not. Critics of the design believe that there is no system to control the separated cabin, Therefore, it can fall in mountains, populated areas or forests. Some people are also raising questions about the pilot’s lack of concern.
