Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav has gone to England for the treatment of sports hernia. He will consult specialist doctors there about the injury. Not only this, if necessary, he can also undergo surgery there.
A person close to 34-year-old Suryakumar told news agency PTI on the condition of anonymity, ‘Surya is suffering from sports hernia in the lower right side of his abdomen.
He has gone to the UK for consultation. If necessary, he will undergo surgery.’ Surya has been travelling for the last 3 months. He participated in many matches amid pain. On Surya’s treatment, a BCCI source said- There is no T20 cricket before August-September. In such a situation, Suryakumar thought that this is the best time when he can get his injury treated. He will also get enough time to recover from it at the Center of Excellence in Bangalore.
The Indian team has to tour Bangladesh in the month of August. The team has to play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches there from 17 August. The T20 series will start from 26 August. Currently, the Indian team has gone on a tour of England.Suryakumar Yadav scored more than 700 runs for Mumbai Indians in the last season of the Indian Premier League.
