NASA has postponed Axiom Mission 4 once again. This mission is very important for Poland and Hungary as well as India. India will also send its astronaut in it, for which Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has been selected. Earlier also the mission has been postponed several times due to various reasons. Axiom Mission 4 is a completely private mission, which is being jointly managed by Axiom Space, NASA and SpaceX. India is also spending Rs 550 crore on this mission.
The reason for postponing Axiom Mission-4 this time is the problem of air leak in the Russian module Zvezda of the International Space Station, which created a pressure signature. After the repairs, more time is needed to review the data coming from there, due to which the mission has been postponed again.
Earlier, the launch was scheduled for June 22, but NASA wants complete satisfaction regarding the safety of the mission and astronauts before launching. The new date is expected to be announced soon. Let us tell you that earlier the problem of liquid oxygen leak was seen in the Falcon 9 module. The International Space Station has a total of 16 pressurized modules built by 5 space agencies – NASA of the US, Roscosmos of Russia, ESA of Europe, JAXA of Japan and CSA of Canada.
The Zvezda module that suffered a problem provides life support systems and crew quarters. This mission is very important for India. After Rakesh Sharma, Shubhanshu Shukla will be the second astronaut from India to go to space. However, the repeated delays in the mission can pose challenges for India, Hungary and Poland.
