Simran, an Indian girl, has gone missing in the US. Officials said the girl is about 24 years old and had come to the US for an arranged marriage. She arrived in New Jersey from India on June 20. This is where she was last seen. Lindenwold police were informed of her disappearance on Wednesday, five days later. Investigation into CCTV footage revealed that she was constantly checking her phone.
It appeared she was waiting for someone. But officials also said she did not appear to be distressed. According to the police, Simran does not know English and does not know anyone in the US. The phone she has can only work via Wi-Fi. According to the New York Post, the police have not yet been able to find any information about Simran’s relatives in India.
The authorities also suspect that perhaps Simran did not come to America for marriage, but rather she wanted to avail free air travel to America through this. However, no other clue has been found about her so far. Simran is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs around 68 kg. She has a small scar on the left side of her forehead. She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a white T-shirt, black flip-flops and small diamond studded earrings.
