Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama will celebrate his 90th birthday next week. Dalai Lama’s birthday will be celebrated with great pomp on 6th July in McLeodganj, Dharamshala. At the same time, China’s eyes will also be on India during this celebration. There is speculation that the Dalai Lama may announce his successor on his 90th birthday.
Let us tell you that many ministers of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) have expressed the possibility of declaring a successor on the birthday of the Dalai Lama. The list also includes the names of CTA election chief Penpa Tsering and deputy chairperson Dolma Tsering. The headquarters of the exiled Tibetan government is also located in McLeod Ganj. In such a situation, the program of Dalai Lama’s birthday will start from July 2, which will last for three days.
During this time, a gathering of Tibetan Buddhist leaders will be seen in Dharamshala. Although the Dalai Lama’s birthday is on 6 July, but according to the Tibetan calendar, the Dalai Lama will turn 90 tomorrow i.e. on 1 July. He had clearly written that his successor will be born outside China and it is possible that that country will be India.
