The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed that its fighters killed seven commandos in a three-day long encounter in the mountainous region of Noshki. Four BLA fighters were also killed during this period. The group also reported the death of another fighter who was seriously injured in a previous attack in Surab, The Balochistan Post reported.
BLA spokesperson Ziyand Baloch said that the Pakistani army launched a major attack using helicopters and drones in the Noshki area on July 19. In retaliation, BLA fighters attacked various places to obstruct the army’s progress. The spokesman said that the most fierce clashes took place at a place called Sheshari, where the two sides engaged in a gunfight for two days.
The BLA claims that seven special commandos were killed and many others were injured. The group admitted that four of its fighters were killed during the clash. The TBP report revealed that the BLA has resolved to continue its armed struggle with greater vigour and expressed its commitment to national liberation.
