Seattle, WA — October 30, 2025:
Seattle University has opened its annual Seattle Public Safety Survey, inviting residents and workers across the city to share feedback on safety and security issues in their neighborhoods.
The survey, available from October 15 through November 30, can be accessed via publicsafetysurvey.org or by scanning the QR code provided by the Seattle Police Department (SPD). It is offered in multiple languages including Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, English, Korean, Oromo, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tigrinya, and Vietnamese, ensuring accessibility for Seattle’s diverse communities.
The initiative, conducted through Seattle University’s Crime and Justice Research Center, aims to help SPD better understand public concerns and improve community-policing strategies. The feedback will form the foundation for detailed reports on neighborhood safety perceptions and security challenges.
Community engagement sessions to discuss survey findings and strengthen police-community dialogue will take place between May and August 2026.
Residents are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives to help guide future safety initiatives and enhance trust between the police and local communities.
