Kent, Washington — The City of Kent will host a Council Swearing-In Ceremony on Tuesday, January 6, welcoming newly sworn-in city leadership, according to the City of Kent Government.

The ceremony will take place following a 6:30 p.m. reception, with the official swearing-in scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The event celebrates the swearing-in of Mayor Dana Ralph and Councilmembers Satwinder Kaur, Toni Troutner, and Sharn Shoker.

City officials also noted that the Kent City Council has three public meetings scheduled for the same day:

  • Committee of the Whole – 4:00 p.m.

  • Council Workshop – 5:15 p.m.

  • Council Meeting – 7:00 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the city’s civic process. Meeting agendas are available through the City of Kent’s official channels.
