Bellevue, WA — The Bellevue Police Department is continuing its “Women Empowered” self-defense workshop this Sunday, offering local women an opportunity to learn practical personal-safety skills at Bellevue City Hall.
The upcoming session, held November 16 from 1:20 p.m. to 3:10 p.m., will focus on teaching participants the “punch protection” technique—an approach designed to help individuals defend themselves and reduce vulnerability in threatening situations.
The workshop is part of an ongoing community-engagement effort aimed at providing women with confidence-building, hands-on training in a supportive environment. Photos shared by the department show instructors guiding participants through ground-based defensive movements.
Space for the class is limited, and interested attendees are encouraged to reserve a spot by emailing chanaumi@bellevuewa.gov.
The Bellevue Police Department says the program continues to receive strong community interest and emphasizes the importance of empowering women with practical, accessible self-defense training.
