Bellevue, WA – October 28, 2025:
The City of Bellevue is inviting residents to participate in a unique two-part class titled “The Art of Listening,” designed to help people improve their communication skills through mindful and empathetic listening.
Taught by Marci McReynolds, also known as “The Listening Lady” and former manager of the Bellevue Conflict Resolution Center, the workshop teaches participants how to become more artful, peaceful, and attentive listeners — key qualities in fostering understanding and connection in personal and professional relationships.
The training sessions will take place on November 2 and November 9 at the King County Library System. Participants will explore practical listening techniques and learn how to engage in conversations that build empathy and reduce conflict.
Registration for the “Art of Listening” program is now open through the King County Library System website at kcls.org/listening.
This initiative supports Bellevue’s commitment to promoting community harmony, mental wellness, and effective communication across diverse backgrounds.
