Team India, which has not been able to win a Test series in England for 18 years, is ready to try once again. The team will play a series of 5 Test matches in England. India had lost 6 series before winning its first series in England. After 1971, India lost 3 consecutive series in England, then won the 3 Test series 2-0 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. After this, India played a 4 match series draw 1-1 under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly in 2002, then won the very next series in 2007 under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid.
