An Indigo Airlines flight from Chennai to Madurai developed a technical snag mid-air, due to which the flight had to return back to Chennai. Airport officials said that after about half-an-hour of flight, the pilot of the IndiGo Airlines flight became aware of the snag and then sought permission to return and land in Chennai.
He said that the plane carrying about 68 passengers later landed safely here and all the passengers were deboarded. There was no immediate response from IndiGo on this matter.
