Khamenei’s counter attack on Trump’s ‘surrender’ statement

POLITICS & LAWSKhamenei's counter attack on Trump's 'surrender' statement

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has completely rejected the demand of US President Donald Trump in which he had asked Iran to surrender. Khamenei described it as something that came out of Trump’s mouth which is much bigger than his stature. This statement has come at a time when tension between the two countries is at its peak.

“The US President said, ‘Iran must surrender.’ Needless to say, this is a very big statement for the US President to have come out of his mouth,” Khamenei wrote on the social media platform X. According to the American newspaper ‘The Hill’, Khamenei said that America has gained nothing from the military attacks on Iran. He warned that if America attacks further, it will get a befitting reply.

On Thursday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei gave a statement for the first time after the ceasefire between Iran and Israel came into effect. He said, Iran has slapped America in the face by attacking the US military base in Qatar. This is America’s largest military base. He warned America not to attack Iran again in the future. He said that its result would be even more disastrous.

Khamenei’s 10-minute recorded video statement broadcast on Iran’s state television contained warnings and threats to the US and Israel. He said, “US President Trump is exaggerating about the US attack on three nuclear plants on Sunday. Whereas in reality America did not gain anything from that attack. Anyone who hears Trump’s statement will tell that he is distorting the truth. In fact, the US attacked Iran to save Israel from defeat.”
