In a message shared on social media, the council recognized the cultural and spiritual significance of the day, which blends indigenous and Catholic traditions to celebrate life, memory, and family connections.
Día de los Muertos is typically observed on November 1 and 2, with altars, candles, marigolds, food, and music used to honor ancestors and departed family members.
