The conflict between Israel and Iran continues. Both countries are attacking each other with dangerous missiles and drones. Meanwhile, Iran has claimed that it has attacked Israel with the hypersonic missile Fatah-1. Iran has used Fatah-1 missiles in conflicts with Israel before this as well. But it has been used for the first time in the recent conflict.
Fatah-1 is a hypersonic missile, which travels at a speed 5 times the speed of sound and can easily dodge radars. Hypersonic missiles are considered to be extremely high technology. They can travel at a speed 5 times faster than the speed of sound and have the ability to change their position mid-journey. This is why tracking them is a very difficult task.
Iran received Fatah-1 as its first hypersonic missile in 2023. This 12 meter long missile has a range of 1400 kilometers. This missile can carry up to 200 kilograms of explosives. Fatah-1 is an advanced missile of Iran, which is equipped with hypersonic glide vehicle warhead and it easily penetrates the radar. This medium-range missile travels at a speed of 17,900 kilometers per hour. However, some experts say that any ballistic missile can reach hypersonic speed after launch.
However, Fatah-1 was named by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran fired several Fatah-1 missiles at Israel. However, Israel claims that its air defense system is excellent and Iran’s missiles cannot do much damage to it.
