Israel carried out a major airstrike in Iran’s capital Tehran on Monday evening, in which the main building of Iran’s state TV channel IRIB was targeted. After the explosion, the TV broadcast stopped midway. The building caught fire and a cloud of smoke spread.
IRIB’s senior correspondent Younes Shadloo was present at the scene of the attack. “I was on the first floor when the bomb fell. I don’t know how many of my colleagues died or how many were injured,” he said with blood-soaked hands. He said, “We were asked to leave, but we are not afraid and we will not leave from here.”
Another video went viral on social media in which a female anchor was broadcasting live when suddenly there was a loud explosion. The screen vibrated and the anchor moved away from the camera. Israel had earlier warned millions of people living in central Tehran to evacuate the area. This attack took place on the fourth day of the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.
