Redmond, WA — November 15, 2025

The Redmond Police Department is calling on the community to support those in need this Saturday by donating to the Redmond Police Cadets’ Food Drive. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the OFC (15800 Redmond Way), benefiting the Renewal Food Bank, which provides essential groceries to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

The food drive aims to gather non-perishable food items, along with hygiene products. Items most needed include rice, canned vegetables, soup, peanut butter, ramen, cooking oil, salt, sugar, and soy sauce. Hygiene items such as toilet paper, laundry detergent, body soap, shampoo, dental care products, and baby wipes are also in high demand.

Police cadets, seen in a recent social media post promoting the event, will be on hand to collect donations and assist in making a positive impact on the community. The department encourages all residents to stop by and donate whatever they can.

“Your support makes a real difference,” said the department in a statement, adding that every contribution helps individuals and families in the local area.

The Redmond Police Cadets and the Renewal Food Bank appreciate the community’s generosity in helping provide essential supplies for those who need it most.
