Renton, WA — October 30, 2025:
A suspect is now in custody following a SWAT operation conducted in the Renton Highlands area on Thursday.
According to the Renton Police Department (RPD), residents reported a large police presence along Duvall Avenue NE, between NE Sunset Boulevard and NE 4th Street, as Valley SWAT carried out an operation connected to an Auburn Police Department investigation.
The operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including King County’s Guardian One helicopter, which provided aerial support and was seen flying over the area during the incident.
Police confirmed that the situation has since been contained and that the suspect is in custody. No injuries were reported.
Authorities thanked the public for their cooperation and advised residents to expect residual police activity in the area as the investigation continues.
