After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, Canada has now admitted that pro-Khalistan terrorists have taken shelter in the country. The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), Canada’s premier intelligence agency, has for the first time officially acknowledged that pro-Khalistan terrorists are using Canadian soil to plan, raise funds and incite violence in India.
CSIS released its annual report on Wednesday. The report by Canadian intelligence agency CSIS clearly states, “Khalistani extremists continue to use Canada as a base to plan, fund, or incite violence, primarily in India.” India has been warning Canada for years that it has become a base for Khalistani terrorists, but Canada has turned a blind eye. The CSIS report says that Canada has become a safe haven for anti-India elements.
Along with this, the agency has also said that now we have come to know that the concerns being expressed by India for years were true. The report says that in the 1980s, the threat of politically motivated violent extremism (PMVE) in Canada came primarily from extremism originating on Canadian soil.
