USATwo Men Seriously Injured in Chinatown-International District Hit-and-Run

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that left two men seriously injured late Sunday night in the Chinatown-International District.

At approximately 11:40 p.m. on May 31, officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. Upon arrival, officers found two men, ages 29 and 36, lying on the ground with serious injuries.

Police and emergency responders provided medical aid at the scene before both victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center by the Seattle Fire Department. Authorities said one victim remains in critical condition, while the other is listed in serious condition.

Investigators secured the scene and began gathering evidence. Witness interviews and video footage reviewed by the Real Time Crime Center revealed that a dark-colored vehicle traveling westbound on South Jackson Street crossed the intersection, accelerated onto the sidewalk, and struck both pedestrians.

The driver fled the scene without stopping and continued westbound.

Detectives with the Seattle Police Department’s Homicide and Assault Unit are leading the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
