KENT, WA — Visitors to West Fenwick Park should plan for temporary trail closures as maintenance work begins on Tuesday, June 16. According to Kent Parks, Recreation & Community Services, a portion of the park’s loop trail will be closed for trail repaving, and the handball courts will also be inaccessible during the project.
City officials expect the affected areas to reopen on Saturday, June 20, weather and construction conditions permitting.
During the maintenance period, portions of the park will remain accessible, including the trail near the restrooms and playground, as well as the route from the west side of the park to the top of the hill.
Residents and park users are encouraged to follow posted signs and use available alternate routes while improvements are underway.
